Why did you go into Personal Training?
I have two big passions in life: helping people and working out. After working for half a decade in the non-profit sector in various roles, I decided to take the jump and combine my two passions to become a Personal Trainer!

My schedule at work changed from working days to working nights. I was super tired with no motivation to go to the gym and didn’t go for a little over a year, causing me to somehow lose weight instead of gaining…and I ate horribly. When I finally got my schedule switched back to days, I tried going on my own but I just was getting frustrated. I found Eric and everything changed. He helped me gain the confidence and drive I needed to get back into it. He is passionate and very knowledgeable in training of all types. Thanks to Eric, I’m back in the gym full force. I joined the gym because I’d just barely recovered from bursitis and tendinitis on both shoulders. The trainer I originally met with was nice, but two sessions later he called me to let me know he’d resigned and recommended Eric.
Eric worked me through the bursitis; I’m no longer in chronic pain! He also helped me find the strength I didn’t know I had. We’ve been working together for a year now, and he always looks for what’s the right thing to do. Eric is very careful with some of the health issues I’m working on getting under control. Some of my limitations got pretty weird, too, but Eric didn’t give up on me. He does research and is always prepared to get me back to feeling good.
Since working with Eric, I’m no longer in chronic pain. I’ve built muscle, my endurance has improved, my heart rate has come down, my blood pressure readings are finally acceptable, I sleep so much better, and my anxiety is way down.
I appreciate the push, the patience, the laughs, and the care. Eric has become a crucial part of my week, not only physically but also mentally. He’s helped me accept that exercising is an essential lifestyle, especially for my mental and physical well-being.
I wouldn’t trade Eric for anyone else. It’s also super helpful that he’s an early person.

My fitness journey is a recent thing. I never was a gym girly, but I was quite unhappy with my body after the births of my two children. I have chronic low back issues, and my mental state was not good.
It took a pandemic, a new awareness of my mental state, and a wonderful friend’s encouragement to join this gym. After going through the motions and just getting used to the environment, I was assigned Eric, and oh my God, WHERE HAS HE BEEN!
Everyone needs an Eric in their life.
My goal has been to become toned, stronger, happier, and more mentally stable; Eric is helping me with that. He is reliable, caring, attentive, and mindful of my lower back issues. He is always encouraging and can give you a challenge if you ask for it. He is also incredibly playful and makes the whole training process fun, never boring. He is an amazing instructor, especially when it comes to how to use the machines and lift weights. He awakened a joy for boxing that I never knew I had.
Additionally, I never knew I was “competitive” (in a positive sense) and “strong” until he pointed those things out as I exercised. The constant support, cheering, acknowledging my gains, and making me feel safe and not judged have done so much for me mentally and more.
In our 3 months of Personal Training with him, I lost three pounds and gained two pounds of muscle. He’ll turn me into Wonder Woman in no time!
Overall, Eric is the best trainer for me! I cannot rave enough about him! I cannot express my gratitude for having Eric as my trainer. He has done more than his job description and has gone above and beyond.

Eric is an outstanding trainer for a variety of reasons. Being a middle-aged male who works 10-12 hours a day as an accountant in a “desk job”, working with Eric (generally 3-4 times per week) has transformed my body and has kept me “mentally” and “physically” feeling great.
Eric is dependable, and his flexible schedule matches very well with mine. Eric does not keep the same “routine” especially as he sees my body adjusting to it. We have focused on strength training, core, high-impact cardio, and endurance building. Eric has pushed me to go beyond my comfort zone and continues building mental toughness and grit during our workouts. He keeps the conversation positive, and entertaining, and with his high energy, he can keep me focused even at 7am. I look forward to each workout. He has taught me boxing and self-defense skills, including the cardio aspect. Most recently, we have focused on mobility and balancing skills. My most recent “InBody” showed that I gained 5+ pounds of “pure” muscle and lost body fat.
I have been very pleased with the gym, Eric’s skills as my Personal Trainer, and the results have been tremendous! I highly recommend Eric to anyone at any skill level, as he has an adaptable and targeted plan for any individual.
