My fitness journey is a recent thing. I never was a gym girly, but I was quite unhappy with my body after the births of my two children. I have chronic low back issues, and my mental state was not good.
It took a pandemic, a new awareness of my mental state, and a wonderful friend’s encouragement to join this gym. After going through the motions and just getting used to the environment, I was assigned Eric, and oh my God, WHERE HAS HE BEEN!
Everyone needs an Eric in their life.
My goal has been to become toned, stronger, happier, and more mentally stable; Eric is helping me with that. He is reliable, caring, attentive, and mindful of my lower back issues. He is always encouraging and can give you a challenge if you ask for it. He is also incredibly playful and makes the whole training process fun, never boring. He is an amazing instructor, especially when it comes to how to use the machines and lift weights. He awakened a joy for boxing that I never knew I had.
Additionally, I never knew I was “competitive” (in a positive sense) and “strong” until he pointed those things out as I exercised. The constant support, cheering, acknowledging my gains, and making me feel safe and not judged have done so much for me mentally and more.
In our 3 months of Personal Training with him, I lost three pounds and gained two pounds of muscle. He’ll turn me into Wonder Woman in no time!
Overall, Eric is the best trainer for me! I cannot rave enough about him! I cannot express my gratitude for having Eric as my trainer. He has done more than his job description and has gone above and beyond.
