Why did you go into Personal Training?
I’ve experienced firsthand the empowerment and fulfillment that comes from achieving personal fitness goals. I’m driven by a desire to share that experience with others.

As I aged, I lost strength, became weaker, and became unsteady in balance and walking. Cynthia started me slowly, gave me confidence, and gradually increased my workout. She gave me good tips on how to improve my balance. She then introduced the weight program to strengthen my core. As the weeks went by, everything improved. I am very happy with her training. I had been coming to the gym for some time, but felt unsuccessful. I was honestly still pretty intimidated by the gym. I had no idea what I was doing and felt out of place. She made me feel comfortable, supported, and capable from day one. She’s incredibly knowledgeable and encouraging, and she will challenge you with every session, but never in a way that feels overwhelming or to the point where you give up; instead, you want to keep going. The workouts push me, but they’re realistic, and I look forward to them, which is something I never thought I’d say. I was not new to the Center when I met Cynthia. I had been coming for a while, just working out randomly and trying different things, but I did not really know how to schedule and program my body to get the results I was looking for. Cynthia showed me what I needed to work on and how often I needed to work on my whole body to get the desired results. She incorporated weights, which I was previously apprehensive to do. She showed me a safe way to do weights and the functionality of the different machines in the facility, which is fantastic. Now, when I walk in, I have a plan! I know what I am working on that day and what I want to achieve. My workouts are much more enjoyable now, thanks to Cynthia’s expertise. And she’s always in a good mood, which is such a plus! When I started working out with Cynthia, I had little confidence in my capabilities and felt awkward. After working with her for a few months, I found strength and, perhaps just as important, confidence that I could become the strong retiree and grandmother I wanted to be. Now, I must admit I feel capable of anything! She has started me on boxing, and I can lift and swing around my grandbabies. I have even gotten myself experimenting with online dating after being a widow for 3 years. I am amazed at Cynthia’s patience and expertise, her determination on her client’s behalf, and her complete support—she pushes you, but unlike situations in my past, not to the extent that you feel discouraged; instead, she pushes you to the point that you want to keep working and improving. She is the best trainer I have ever worked with, and I can’t imagine how successful she will be in her career and with all her clients over the years to come!
